Introducing Nany Blouses: Why We Chose Pyjamas and Why Nany
There is a natural extension from lingerie into sleepwear.
If lingerie is what you wear through the day, then what you sleep in becomes just as important — often worn for longer, and in the moments where you are most at ease.
Over time, I had been thinking about what belonged alongside our lingerie collection. Not more for the sake of it, but something that felt aligned with how we think about fabric, fit and wearability.
That is what led me to Nany Blouses.
How I Found Nany Blouses
I came across Nany Blouses in Paris.
I met David and Faustine there, and it was one of those introductions that immediately made sense. The pieces were on a rack, simple at first glance, but when you touched them and tried them on, the difference was clear.
Faustine comes from a background in garment construction, and you can feel that in the way the pieces are made. The proportions are considered, the seams sit where they should, and the fabric does the work rather than unnecessary detailing.
There is a confidence in that kind of restraint.
Why We Chose Pyjamas
Sleepwear is often overlooked.
It tends to fall into two extremes — overly practical or overly styled. But, like lingerie, it has the potential to feel considered. Something you reach for at the end of the day that still feels good to wear.
We wanted to introduce pyjamas that sit in that middle ground.
Comfortable, but not shapeless.
Well made, but not overdesigned.
Easy to wear, but still thoughtful.
Pieces that move easily between evening and morning, without feeling like something you need to change out of immediately.
Why Nany Blouses
What stood out with Nany Blouses was how clear the brand felt.
The pieces are made in Paris, using Spanish cotton, in small batches. The fabric is soft and breathable, but also holds its structure over time — the kind of cotton that improves with wear rather than losing its shape.
There is no excess to the design. No unnecessary detail. Just well-cut pyjama sets that sit properly on the body and feel comfortable from the moment you put them on.
It is the same thing we look for in lingerie — pieces that are simple, but not basic.
A Considered Approach
Faustine’s background in garmentry shows in subtle ways.
The cut of the sleeve.
The way the shirt sits across the shoulders.
The balance between structure and softness.
These are small things, but they change how something feels to wear.
It is not about making a statement. It is about getting the fundamentals right.
Bringing Them to Australia
As with our lingerie brands, part of the decision was about access.
Nany Blouses is based in Paris, but we hold stock here in Australia. That means you can receive pieces quickly, try them properly, and exchange sizes easily if needed.
Sleepwear is something you live in. It needs to fit well, and it needs to feel right. Being able to try it without complication makes a difference.
A Natural Addition
Adding pyjamas was never about expanding into a new category.
It was about extending the same thinking that sits behind everything we bring into Primary.
Pieces that are:
well made
comfortable
designed to be worn often
Nany Blouses fits into that naturally.
Meeting David and Faustine in Paris, and seeing how much care goes into these pieces, made the decision a simple one.
It felt aligned.
And that is usually the best indicator.
