What to Wear Under a Race-Day Dress
The dress is decided. What sits underneath it decides how the day feels.
Race day is long. There is the train, the walk across the lawn, hours of standing, the heat of early November. A piece that feels fine for ten minutes in the mirror needs to feel just as good at five in the afternoon.
The right piece underneath is what lets the outfit work. Here is how to choose it, starting from the dress.
For a strapless or off-the-shoulder neckline
Start with a strapless bra built to hold on its own.
