What Regular and Support Sizing Actually Means in the Understatement Collection
Understatement bralettes come in two sizing tracks, not one. Regular sizing runs XS through 3XL and suits A to C cups. Support sizing — labelled with a plus, XS+ through 3XL+ — shares the same backband measurement as the Regular size directly above it, and is built for C to F cups, with reinforced straps and additional structure through the cup.
Why two tracks, rather than one extended range
Most labels handle a fuller cup by simply offering a bigger number, on the same construction built for a smaller one. The result is often a bra that fits the band but not the cup, or asks a customer to size up across the board to get enough room, at the cost of fit everywhere else.
Understatement's approach is different. The two sizing tracks share a backband, so the fit through the ribcage stays consistent. What changes between Regular and Support is the construction itself — wider straps, power-mesh lining through the cup and backband, and boning under the bust for shape and stability. A Support piece is built, not resized.
How to know which one is right for you
If your cup typically sits at A, B or C, Regular sizing is the natural starting point.
If your cup sits at C or fuller, the Support size one letter below your usual Regular size will generally offer a better fit at the same backband. A customer who would normally reach for a Regular size M, for example, may find the Support fit in size L more comfortable and better supported, at the same actual band measurement.
